WILKES-BARRE PA – The Quebec-bred Kinnder Thinktwice took full advantage of a drop in company Tuesday afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, making the lead early and then dominating the $11,500 featured fast-class trot in 1:53.1.

The tote board indicated that the feature would be a scrap between the Wheeling N Dealin gelding Kinnder Thinktwice and Aardiebythehill N, and Kinder Thinktwice was away strongly to get the early lead, but when Aardiebythehill N moved up to challenge he broke stride for the second time in a pair of Stateside starts, giving “Kinnder” enjoyed an edge he wouldn’t relinquish. Fractions of :28, :57.2, and 1:25.3 preceded a :27.3 sprint home as Kinnder Thinktwice drew 3¾ lengths clear of pocketsitter PC Free Wheeling (another son of Wheeling And Dealin) for driver Braxten Boyd, leading driver of the day with three wins, and trainer Susan Marshall, co-owner with John Marshall.

Trainer-driver Åke Svanstedt won with a pair of good-looking two-year-old trotters: the Ready Cash - To Soon filly Tindra Cash S, now undefeated in two starts after lowering her mark to 1:56.1 for Suleyman Yuksel Stable Inc., and the Gimpanzee – Final Countdown colt Create Escape, who won at first asking in 1:57.2 for Order By Stable AB.

Racing resumes at Pocono at 1 p.m. Saturday; there will be a carryover into the last race High 5 pool. Sunday racing is finished for the year at Pocono, so the next card after Saturday will occur on Monday, also at 1 p.m., and that Monday performances will feature hard-knocking two- and three-year-olds battling for divisional bragging rights and $320,000 in purse money in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series Championships’ eight races. Free Pocono program pages are or will be available at www.phha.org.
