CHESTER PA – Show Me opened up a big lead down the backstretch in the $12,000 featured trot at Harrah’s Philadelphia Friday afternoon, then proved to have enough left to withstand the furiously-finishing Greenma in 1:55.2.

Andy Miller had the rail with the victorious Chapter Seven gelding and blasted away to command, hitting the quarter in :27.2 and backing off the half to :57.2. Show Me got the green light for more speed down the back and quickly opened up a big margin to the 1:25.4 three-quarters, while Greenma, a sophomore who won his season’s debut last week, following cover then hitting a higher gear on the far turn. The once-big lead was shrinking late, but Show Me still had a length margin at the wire, with Greenma second and Modigliani S third, another length back, after being in the cover flow then ducking inside in the stretch.

Julie Miller trains the winning four-year-old, a winner of two straight and only behind the gate fourteen times in his career to date, for Andy Miller Stable Inc., Daniel and Jean Christophe Plouffe, and One Legend Stable Inc.

Tim Tetrick had three wins at Philly before heading up to Yonkers, leading the local driving colony on the day; two of Tetrick’s three triumphs came for trainer Darren Taneyhill, the only conditioner to have two visits to Victory Lane.

Harrah’s Philadelphia will not have a live card on Easter Sunday, although the facility will be open for simulcasting. Racing resumes at the riverside oval at 12:25 p.m., with a full and competitive field of eight in the $15,000 fast-class handicap feature trot, in slot eleven. Free Philly program pages will be available at www.phha.org.
