Halloween night racing has become a tradition for families across northeastern PA. Ever since The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono began hosting the annual Grey Ghost & Poltergeist Pace, kids and kids at heart flock to the track for safe Halloweening, decorations, family fun and of course, the spookiest pace race of the season!

It's a beautiful time of year to check out the racing excitement at Harrah's Philly, especially with its gorgeous riverfront setting. The sweltering heat of summer has finally given way to "sweater weather," and most of the time, that makes it awesome to enjoy the races outside on the Harrah's deck or patio. Veteran horseman Doug Hamilton was honored by Pocono and by the local horseman’s colony as he retired from training, with management and a huge portion of Pocono backstretch’s community gathering in the winner’s circle after the third race for the ceremony.
