STONEBORO PA – The amazing two-year-old pacing filly Lazy Day Hanover is now the co-winningest horse among all North American Standardbreds in 2020 when she remained undefeated in eleven fair starts with a 2:00.4 victory at the Stoneboro Fair in the northwest Pennsylvania town Thursday during Pennsylvania Fair Sire Stakes competition.

The daughter of Betting Line – Lazan Hanover has her total of eleven victories this campaign presently matched by seven other horses racing throughout the continent. She is the only two-year-old with eleven wins, and among the eight tied horses, she has the fewest seasonal starts at thirteen.
The UDR/UTR of co-owners David Brickell and Mitchell York are certainly benefiting by the divisional domination of Lazy Day Hanover and her stablemate Tiamogonedancin. The latter, a daughter of A Rocknroll Dance – Tiamo, is unbeaten in seven fair outings, and her 1:59.4 time at Stoneboro makes her the sectional season’s leader at the Keystone fairs.

The fastest baby trot on the Thursday card came from the Southwind Frank – Wheely Quick gelding Killer Instinct, who went in 2:04.4 for his seventh win on the Pennsylvania twicearounds, with Wayne Long driving for trainer Bob Rougeaux III and the ownership of Brocious Racing Stable Inc. and Lone Wolf Stable.

The three-year-olds raced on Friday, and trainer/driver Roger Hammer swept the “glamour division” colt pace events. In one of them, he guided Bipbopnallie to a 1:58.2 for the meet’s fastest time, and for the Artspeak gelding’s eighth victory in nine fairs starts, and tenth overall on the season – one behind the continental lead that Lazy Day Hanover shares. The streaking sophomore, unraced at two, is owned by Leblanc Racing Inc., Count De Money Stable, and William Lutz Jr.

Another Stoneboro winner with ten 2020 wins is the A Rocknroll Dance filly Dream Dancing, undefeated in nine fair outings – and no points if you guessed she is from Team Brickell / York. Her 2:02.1 victory was only the third-fastest victory in her division, though – the Captaintreacherous filly Rydia Hanover won in 2:00, her second magic mile in the “B” category, and fastest of all was the Sweet Lou miss Ginger Tree Carey, home in 1:59.1 for trainer/driver Sam Beegle, who also co-owns with Ginger Tree Ventures LLC, Henlopen Stable, and Neil Chesen.

Three-year-old trotting filly Plumb set no records this week, but the Better Caviar filly won her fourth straight race at the fairs for catch-driver Shawn Johnston and trainer Dave Wade, the latter co-owners Gerald Brittingham and William Peel III. Her time of 2:03.1 was the co-fastest trot clocking of the meet.

Todd Schadel and the Johnstons, Aaron and Shawn, shared driving honors for the meet with five successes, while Schadel edged Roger Hammer 6-5 for the top trainer trophy.

The PA fair action goes right to Bloomsburg for a two-day Sire Stakes meet, Sunday  and Monday at 1.

Lazy Day Hanover, Bipbopnallie, and Dream Dancing are all in to go.
