WILKES-BARRE PA – The two-year-olds will be turning out in force for their first career starts on Wednesday morning at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, with four fields of freshmen, twenty in all, facing the starter during the session, which will start at 10 a.m.
Six of the babies are trained by Todd Schadel, who has been the dominant force on the Pennsylvania Fair Sire Stakes circuit in recent years, in addition to having his share of stakes success at the pari-mutuel tracks. The fair season in Pennsylvania starts in four weeks at Butler PA, with the pari-mutuel Sire Stakes and Stallion Series beginning this year’s campaign later that week, and Schadel looks to prepare several good prospects he can slot on all levels as appropriate.
Replays of the qualifiers will be available soon after the Wednesday morning session is complete on the PHHA’s website – www.phha.org.
