SECOND RACE – LIVE ODDS was right on the gate and went right to the lead, rebuffed the co-6-5 who had thoughts of quarter-moving, asked to pick it up nearing the 5/8 and responded by coming home in 54.3 some ten lengths to the good under a hold. MIMOSA PARTY went up second-over, left uncovered ¾, not bad in her own right for a clear second. MACHMETER got the pocket, looked to quarter-move but quickly recognized the “rebuff” sign and went back in, started gapping at the 5/8. GURL BAND K was underway in front of the stands, ranged up and got into the pocket to the ¾ as the winner drew away, gave some ground late. HEAVENLY BET and TSM MONEY DRAGON were always way back. KAY’S DELIGHT was caught behind a gapper but never regained any ground. STONEBRIDGE PEARL had good cover third-over but couldn’t go with it. UNBEAMLIEVABLE was three-wide leaving and tucked third 3/16, had nothing left the last 3/8.
THIRD RACE – EXPLOSIVE YANKEE, belying dismissal at a $117.20 win mutuel, moved three-wide from third-over before the 5/8, got back to two-over 11/16, grinded, made the lead midstretch and held on courageously to the finish. MARION GONDOLIER was three-wide to the 1/8 then slipped into the early pocket, came off the rail to two-wide covered midturn, wide in the stretch and narrowed in but couldn’t quite make it. MISTER PHOTOGENIC spotted fourth then was underway 3/16 to the lead 3/8, set the pace, held very gamely to the line. MILLBROOK HANOVER left well to the lead at the 1/8, forced a tuck then pushed a foe past by far the fastest quarter of the race until yielding 3/8, couldn’t gain ground back late. BROADWAY EXPRESS, off the gate, rallied three-wide uncovered on the turn from far back and got the last payday. ARTIC CLIPPER was second-over, blindswitched, then three-wide to two-wide but couldn’t keep up. SOUTHWIND LARADO had no say in this. BYOB was first-up on the second turn, slowly gained grinding until going offstride past the 11/16. KEYSTONE CHARGER broke w-a-y before the start.
FOURTH RACE – FOX VALLEY KIT was four-wide leaving, three-wide to the 1/8, and then two-wide until getting the pocket 5/16, slipped out behind cover ¾, didn’t tip wide until past early stretch but had the most finishing. ONTHEEDGEOFGLORY made a sideways break midway through the turn before the start, recovered to the point of catching the back of the field near the start, moved out to the 3/8 and kept right on going (against the wind) to make the lead 9/16, had pressure from the first-over, held off that one but not the second-over. TRY N KEEP UP hustled out in the frontstretch with cover, left uncovered 9/16 and challenged hard, held decently+. TERRA TERROR was three-wide then took back to tuck, shuffled to last, then wide again in the lane and finished with some pace. FRESH SQUEEZED squeezed a tuck at the 1/8, came back out 11/16 but gapped, evenly. LOVE THAT BADLANDS went right to the point, wouldn’t yield until past the half, not too much left late. FAITHFUL FRIEND never factored. BESTEST HANOVER was gapping on the first turn and finished way back.
FIFTH RACE – CHEAP N EASY was three-wide to the 1/8 and two-wide to the quarter for the lead, rated the half, sprinted down the back though not pressured to try to get a big lead, was clear on the far turn and into the stretch, but was hustled throughout the stretch as GIRLLOOKATTHATBODY kept coming on. The latter was second-over, three-wide 11/16 back to two-wide midturn, came home in 28.2 vs. the wind but had too much ground to make up. UF DRAGON’S QUEEN was away well and maintained the pocket, lost her tight seat behind the winner before the ¾, still clear in third. YOUNG AMERICAN spotted, inside, not much. CLASSIC CARPET was inside last, blocked the first half of the stretch, then found a seam and got the last check. VALENTINA DE VIE didn’t have great cover and was four-wide headstretch, little chance from there. VELOCITY VESPA was outside with cover, given a tuck 5/16 to clear the path for the outside flow to develop, gapped. CANDY
STYX N gave a tuck, then was uncovered 3/8, just barely got to the pocket horse’s wheel, then didn’t advance further.
SIXTH RACE – WORLD CUP was three-wide to the 1/8, then took a tuck, back out raw 3/8 and fought with the leading MY LOVE BI the rest of the way as these two separated from the others, proved strongest late. MY LOVE BI was extremely hard-used early, four-wide to the 1/8, three-wide to the 3/16, then two-wide past the quick quarter to 5/16 command, got a breather for a quarter-mile then had the winner in her face, held courageously. LINDY’S BEST YET was third-over, steadily but not in the league of the first two. GLOBAL JOE was the first on top then watched the outer wave go by, to the Pocono Pike and next in line. MASSIVE WINNER also stayed in and had some late foot deep in the Pike. NEW IDENTITY never was a major factor. SCIROCCO JAKOB was two-wide early, got the top, forced a tuck, then yielded for the pocket, but the early efforts started catching up 11/16. ANDOVER’S TOUCH was always at the rear. MASSACAIA was well-placed second-over, looked to be searching for more when making a break ¾.
SEVENTH RACE – FITZ’S Z TAM was second-over and gradually advanced, three-wide before headstretch, got the job done in a not-quick last quarter. LOVEDANCINWITHYOU hustled up early and tucked third at the 1/8, in, had to wait until midstretch to find room between horses and by then the winner had built some momentum, good finish. JOHNNY Z left well then yielded for the pocket, to the Pocono Pike and had the lead midstretch but couldn’t hold the advantage to the finish. SAFE HARBOR came first-up at the half, gradually advanced, held ground pretty well late. LAST DRAGON went to the lead at the 1/8 and went on at a pretty good clip, held the lead to midstretch. GOTTA LOVE HIM was third-over, three-wide late on the far turn, some at end as the pace slowed. THE FIRE WITHIN was widest of all in the stretch and gained. JETSKI LOUIE was fourth-over, blindswitched nearing headstretch, not a late factor. HE’S UNBELIEVABLE didn’t look like he had much when going offstride midturn
EIGHTH RACE – ABBIE’S CELTICLASS pulled out 3/8and rushed right to the lead near the half, had a foe tuck behind her as the pocketsitter gave way, then saw that foe, WINNING PRINCESS, reemerge outside for the stretch, held her off nicely. The latter tucked 3/16, then moved behind the winner, left raw near the ½ but was able to grab the two-hole 9/16, outside in the lane, steadily but not enough. KAYLA JADE was forwardly-placed early, retucked around a gapper late backstretch, just held third over STARR SAVANNAH. The latter was outside but had a lot of ground to make up, wide in the lane and tried very hard, just not quite enough foot to grab third. SAVANNAH SUNSET picked up the last check. NO EXCUSES was too far back. SHE MATTERS gapped early. SARINATO was three-wide to the first turn then two-wide most of the ¼ to grab the racetrack, yielded before the half and backed up most of the last half. ANJA was first on top, yielded, made a break 9/16 and went to the infield.
NINTH RACE – SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR had some step away from the gate, went first-up at the half, able to retuck in the pocket 11/16, to the Pocono Pike and could hold off the late rush of PERSUASIVE HANOVER after the fast fractions. The latter was in the outer flow, three-wide midturn as the horse in front of her gapped, steadily through the lane and wasn’t far off. LOVINEVERYMINUTE followed good cover then was raw 11/16 as her cover took the pocket, kept advancing, held her ground very staunchly late. SO NICE tucked past the 1/8, then quarter-moved and went to on to set a very rapid pace, couldn’t quite last to the line. ALBANY GIRL had good cover but gapped ¾. SWEET BET gapped early, never in it. STRINGS was always near the back. KJ’S CAROLINE was three-wide leaving ,warred with JEWEL LEHIGH A until taking the two-hole 3/16 before the 26 opener, shuffled some when that foe tired but didn’t seem to have much left herself. JEWEL LEHIGH A insisted on the early lead at a price of 26, did yield 3/8, stayed fairly close through the third quarter then totally gave way.
TENTH RACE – SUNRISE AVENUE was looped and three-wide early, got to the lead to the 5/16, wasn’t under any pressure the rest of the way while coming home in 58. CONNIE JEAN outleft everybody from the outside, hung the winner past the ¼ then yielded for the two-hole, started to get loose ¾ and just did hold second over TALKIN TOOTSIE. The latter came out without cover just before the 5/8 but soon had cover, lost it ¾ as that foe broke, ducked in then came back out for the stretch and almost made second. DEWTIFUL LASS retucked fourth and was next in line although far back. DRINKING CLASS got the last check. MYRRH gapped out. KEYSTONE ANGEL was outside early, finally settled in the three-hole pas the ¼, uncovered 5/8, but broke ¾. MY CHERRY PIE broke late on the turn before the start.
ELEVENTH RACE – HOT MESS HANOVER tucked third early, moved out when THE MUSCLE TOUCH started to get away, retucked in the pocket and gradually advanced to being tight on the leader on the turn, outside stretch and just up in the shadow of the wire. THE MUSCLE TOUCH went right to the lead, opened up five lengths at the 5/8 but had the leader come right up behind her, held on very gamely through the stretch but was a bit less photogenic. GIN’S TONIC tucked, then moved and retucked third, the only other one within 20 lengths of the winner at the wire. WISE HANOVER inherited the pocket when a foe broke, loose of the leader throughout, then gave ground badly from the 5/8. MISSY MOUNTAIN TOP gapped throughout but stayed flat and got a check. ANGIE OVER made a break midturn while far back. RUN FOR ROYALTY broke in the early pocket. WHAMBAMTHANKUMAAM was literally never in the picture.
TWELFTH RACE – ROCKLINDAROCK followed cover going to the second turn, initially gapped a bit but soon found a high gear and paced a third quarter of 26.2, the second part of it raw after her cover cleared to the lead, gamely kept to task and wore down SUDDEN CHANGE N. The latter tucked early, went uncovered towards turn two, sped up and cleared the leader 5/8, then was joined by the winner as those two drew far clear of the pack, raced gamely but had to settle for second. TIGER BOUDOIR, with the reported “b.e.” past the ¼ possibly a rightside strap, backed out to third-over in the strung-out field to the ¾, kept on gamely and was the distant third. AMERICAN MAJOR was four-wide early, three-wide to the 1/8, then tucked in midpack 3/16, followed great cover outside but couldn’t stay with it. TWIN B ELITE was away second, on the move before the ¼ to gain the lead past that post, raced the place horse until yielding 5/8, then gradually backed off. PAN LUIS OBISPO was never prominent. RODEO BLUES left three-wide, made the lead past the 1/8, yielded just past the ¼, struggled from before the ¾. ANASTASIA SHADE and EXOTIC FLING kept falling further back.
THIRTEENTH RACE – ROCK IT SCOTT went sent right down the highway and put horses in behind, rated the half, then sprinted home in 56.2 – 28. NEW EVIDENCE eased in third towards the 1/8, stayed in, went to the Pocono Pike and had good finishing pace although not catching the winner. WEAPON TO WIN soon filled the 2-hole, not able to keep up the last 5/16. MCDAN also sat in, gapped on the far turn, next. TSM GANNICUS T was outside towards the second turn, got cover at the half, went three-wide late turn, evenly. STAR OF TERROR was first-over at the half, made a good burst between that point and the 5/8, then did not gain any more, then fell back. THE REST did not mount a threat here.
FOURTEENTH RACE – KANDY KORN was double-looped leaving, in gear 3/16 in the 27.4 opener, made the lead 3/8 and backed off the half into the wind, a safe winner through the stretch. HAILEYSGONEDANCING was three-wide to the first turn and on top 3/16 in the swift first panel, yielded 3/16, pocket, couldn’t stay with the winner the last quarter but clearly second in here. BORN TO FIGHT came first-up approaching turn two, gained quickly to the 5/8 and then still advanced until into the far turn, fell back in the stretch. BY CANCE HANOVER was the first on top, yielded 3/16, fell back. TOMMY BAR had dull cover, three-wide on the far turn, got the last payday. MANDELA BLUE CHIP showed little. TRADER moved with cover but never kept up with it. NEW YORK ATTITUDE was third-over but broke before the 5/8.
