HARRISBURG PA – Horsemen who are connected with quality Pennsylvania-sired two- and three-year-olds should note that horses of theirs who are eligible (were paid in) for the Pennsylvania program can be dropped in the entry box for the upcoming Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championships and their parallel consolation events without having started in the program this season.
Eligibility for the Championships and consolations are determined by points earned during four preliminary legs of competition throughout the late spring and summer. The horses who did not race would of course have zero points earned, but if the minimum amount of pointearning horses to fill the Championship / consolation in a given division was not reached, non-starters who would be entered could then draw in.
The Sire Stakes Championships and consolations for three-year-olds will be held at The Meadows on Saturday afternoon, September 7; the events for two-year-olds will be held at Harrah’s Philadelphia the following afternoon. To ascertain draw schedules or learn other information, horsemen should contact the Racing Office at the track of their interest.
