No question, tonight is going to be a spectacular night of racing at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. All the stars will be going all out—but what will that mean in terms of track and even world records? With temperatures forecast in the 90s, and a track that will most certainly be FAST, the stage could be set for some impressive, even record-setting numbers. But who will tonight's superstars need to beat?
Above are the stats sorted by the 2018 season so far, the track and the world. As you can see, those are some impressive marks and they're going to be tough to beat. But impossible? Nothing's impossible, and considering the talent on offer this evening, we certainly wouldn't bet against it.
Now here's where things get even more interesting. Some of the human stars tonight will basically be competing against not only the best of the best, but against themselves to a certain degree. Its safe to say this is one of the most competitive one-night colonies of drivers you're going to see, and they'll be going all out in the Lynch, Hempt and Beal. Again, those are tough marks to beat, and it will be a great night of racing regardless of whether it's actually record setting. One thing's for sure: we'll be watching very closely!
